Hello, I am Anna
I work as a project manager. I am a parent and an expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-term plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were overwhelming — fresh procedures, new routines, higher expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than expected.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Over time, routines began to take shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Tarno Vise Lym
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance rooted in real life in Germany.
What This Website Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site is not:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- An ordinary travel blog
Moving Forward
Our time in Germany goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Warm regards,
Anna
